Paulding County 4-H’ers Compete at the 2017 State Horse Show
Paulding County 4-H had six members compete this year in the State Horse Show June 12-16 in Perry, GA. All team members were pinned in seven divisions with at least one blue ribbon in each division. They won total of 37 ribbons at the show, 14 blue and 25 medals. There were two Grand Champions from Paulding County. Ashley Rossman won Senior Saddle Seat Champion with overall High Points. She also was awarded her division sportsmanship award and a $500.00 scholarship. Miranda McTyre won Senior Stock Seat Champion division along with a $500 scholarship, she also rode in Senior Hunt Seat. Both will go onto Southern Regionals, along with Juliette McKinley (Junior Hunt Seat) who won the Junior public speaking in education at the show. In addition, Chloe Moody accepted an open bid for Senior Ranch Horse. All team riders ranked in top 20 with three in the top 10. Other 2017 team members include Kiersten Carlisle (offered bid to regionals for Senior Hunt Seat) and Nicholas McKinley (Junior Educational Contests). right: Ashley Rossman
