Paulding County 4-H Recognizes Local 4-H’ers by Paulding County 4-H Staff
Paulding County 4-H has had an amazing season filled with many memories. On April 26, Paulding County held its annual 4-H Awards Night which was led by the Senior Club Officers. This evening provided an abundance of recognition to our 4-H’ers in clubs, individual accolades, installation of 2018-19 officers, and year-in-review presentation.
Here are some of the awards for the 4-h’ers: Outstanding Participation for Paulding County 4-H: Seniors - Madison Thomason and Colleen Gilroy; Outstanding 4-H Participation: Seniors - Madison Clemente, Juliette McKinley, and Nicholas McKinley; 4-H Agent Award: Hannah Bower; Outstanding Teen Leader Participation: Madison Thomason, Colleen Gilroy, and Grace Senra; I Dare You Award: Junior - Tennisa Childress; Seniors - Kelly Bray and Ashley Heerlein; Most Involved Junior 4-H’er: Allen Jones; Outstanding Community Service to Paulding County Organizations 2017-18: Colleen Gilroy, Erin Gilroy, Juliette McKinley, Nicholas McKinley, Olivia Senra, and Grace Senra; Paulding Co. Community Service Outreach: Erin Gilroy; Project Achievement, Long-time Recognitions: Hannah Bower since fifth grade; Erin Gilroy & Kimberlee Rosemond since sixth grade; 2018 Georgia State 4-H Congress Delegates: Erin Gilroy, Lydia Kenney, Juliette McKinley, and Nicholas McKinley. All county participants who competed in Project Achievement were also recognized.
There are also a number of judging teams with Paulding County 4-H; those competing for our county are: Forestry Judging Team Competing in 2017: Seniors - Jack Derochers, Lydia Kenney, Leah McCuan, Madison Thomason, and Madison Clemente; Junior - Allen Jones; Poultry Judging Team Competing in 2017: Seniors - Jamie Babecka, Michaela Fuller, Olivia Senra, Colleen Gilroy, and Hal Arivett placed first at the NW district contest, with the first 4 members continuing on to place third in the state; Juniors - Anna Belle Cargile, Anna Craton, Amelia Holland, Madeline Holland, Allen Jones, and Grace Senra, they placed fifth at district; Consumer Judging Team Competing in 2017: Seniors - Madison Clemente, Collen Gilroy, Erin Gilroy, and Madison Thomason, Juniors – Allen Jones and Sadie Tatum; Horse Quiz Bowl 2017- 18: Seniors - Miranda McTyre, Hannah Bower, Kiersten Carlisle, and Juliette McKinley.
In addition to these recognitions, volunteers with Paulding County 4-H were recognized for their service. Some of them give back to the community as adult leaders of clubs and SAFE sports teams. All of these other groups will have their own recognition at the end of their season.
