PAULDING COUNTY REPUBLICAN PARTY ELECTS OFFICERS

Saturday March 18, 2017 the Paulding County Republican Party held its annual County Convention. Chairman Craig McDowell called the meeting to order at 10 a.m. At this meeting the delegates and alternates were approved to represent the party at the upcoming District and State conventions. This year the District Convention will be in Walker County on Saturday, April 22, 2017 and the State Convention will be in Augusta on Friday and Saturday June 2nd and 3rd. Convention Committee Chairs were recognized and four (4) resolutions were adopted to be submitted to the District and State Conventions. Changes to the Paulding County Republican Party by-laws were adopted as well. The election of 2017-2018 officers was held and are as follows: Chairman Nancy Hollingshed; 1 st Vice Chair Fred Engel; 2 nd Vice Chair Rocky Swan; Secretary Lindsey Carlson; Treasurer Beverly Cochran and Assistant Treasurer Chris Collins.
