Cedar Mountain Coffee in the New Georgia area

Cedar Mountain Coffee officially opened for business in Dallas, Ga, on March 1 st , 2017. The business is owned by Ed and Melissa Justice. About 18 months ago, after 22 years in the hearing healthcare industry, Ed Justice, a licensed audiologist, decided it was time for a career change. He put his hearing aid practice in Douglasville up for sale and began investigating new business opportunities in the Paulding County area. After several long discussions with a few well- known franchise companies, Ed decided that being an independent business owner was the best way to go.
He determined that the south side of Paulding County already had plenty of Mexican restaurants, pizza places, and sandwich shops, but there was absolutely no place to go for a great cup of coffee without driving 15 miles into Hiram or Douglasville. So, Ed contacted the folks at Hard Bean Coffee, a consulting team in Pennsylvania that specializes in the development of independent coffee houses and asked for their help. Under their guidance, he came up with a company name and logo that would tie the shop to the local area. They helped design the store layout and assisted with equipment and barista training. However, many of the interior furnishings were obtained thru other local businesses within the county. Within 4 months, Cedar Mountain Coffee was ready open its doors in the New Georgia area.
Cedar Mountain Coffee proudly serves single origin coffees from around the world, some wonderful flavored blends like Hazelnut and Jamaican Island, and an amazing 8 bean espresso blend that serves as the basis for our lattes, frappes, and cappuccinos. Most recently, Cedar Mountain Coffee launched a fantastic small-batch “cold brew” coffee that is slow-brewed onsite for 16 hours. Additionally, all of our smoothies are non-dairy, made from 100% crushed fruit puree’, and contain no added sugars, corn syrups, or preservatives. Our shop offers free wifi, occasional live music from local musicians, and a private meeting room that is perfect for small group meetings.
We look forward to growing our locally-owned business and hope that we can slowly become the “go to” place in Paulding County for great coffee in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
