The City of Dallas' Race, Festival & Concert 2017

This past weekend on Saturday, April 29th Paulding County was the center of attention in the local area with community events. Beginning with the City of Dallas kicking off their 2nd Annual CityFest with a 5K Race for a Cure. The 6th Annual Relay for Life event started at 8 AM and finished in the historic downtown Dallas square just before 10 AM. Runners included Mayor Boyd Austin and counsel member Jim Henson.
At the conclusion of the race city Fest 2017 was kicked off as vendors and food trucks took to Main Street and set up. Three local bands, including the Up All Night Band, Reckless Dawn and Ga 61 band started playing from 11 AM till 5 PM spectators enjoy the music and food in preparation for the big finale at the new Paulding County courthouse.
The City of Dallas presented Sara Evans live in concert at Veterans Memorial Park in front of the new Paulding County courthouse. Record turnout at the concert proved the entire day a huge success for the City of Dallas and Paulding County.
