Missing/Runaway Teen From Paulding County

Paulding County, GA On May 26, 2017 Deputies with the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in Paulding County reference a missing/runaway teen. Upon further investigation it was determined that the teen, identified as Charlene Simpson, B/F, 16 YOA, left East Paulding High School on 05/26/17 on her own free will and did not return home.
The child’s brother has had intermittent communication via social media with her over the course of the past few days. On May 31, 2017 Simpson returned home to obtain some clothes. When she got there, Simpson’s grandmother was on the front porch of the residence and observed Simpson drive by the house in a tan vehicle very slowly. Simpson was the passenger in the vehicle and did not stop because her grandmother was on the front porch of the residence. Simpson and the companion then left the residence in the tan vehicle and neither have been seen since. Detectives do not believe that the child is in any imminent danger; however they do believe that she is traveling with other people. Detectives want to make the public aware that Charlene Simpson is missing/runaway from Paulding County and that she needs to be returned home.

• Hair Color: Brown
• Eye Color: Brown
• Last Seen Wearing: Unknown Clothing Description

It is believed that Simpson is traveling with an unknown number of persons and may be headed toward Florida. Due to her age, there is concern that she may make some poor choices with the companions she is traveling with. If you see Charlene Simpson, please call 911 so authorities can return her to her parents.
