Rosemont Court Fire Destroyed Multiple Homes

An early morning fire in Hiram destroyed at least 4 homes, severely damaged 2 others, and caused heat & flame damage to at least 7 others. Crews are still operating on the scene at this time and no cause has been determined. Additional information will be forthcoming.

9 am Update.

• 4 homes totally destroyed
• 2 homes with major damage
• 14 additional homes suffered varying degrees of heat/smoke damage
• No fatalities. Only 1 minor injury reported by a homeowner (ankle)
• No fire department personnel injured.

PCFD investigators are assisting GA Fire Marshall’s office determining the cause. None has been released as of yet. Representatives from the Red Cross established a disaster operation at the neighborhood community center. At least 3 displaced families are there now.
