The Paulding County 4-H Forestry Judging team competed on September 6 at the Northwest District Forestry Judging Competition in Conyers, Georgia. The team consisted of Junior and Senior 4-H’ers who spent the summer preparing for the competition.
Paulding County 911 received a call from the home adjacent to 776 Woodwind Drive in the Yorkville community. According to the caller, 3 children who lived at home next door escaped by jumping from a second-story window, ran to his house, told him domestic violence was occurring at their home, that four other siblings were trapped, and that their mother had set the home on fire.
State Rep. Micah Gravley R-Douglasville along with Rep. Mitch Kay and State Sen. Kay Kirkpatrick of East Cobb are part of a bipartisan legislative delegation from Georgia that just returned from an August trip to Israel. Gravley, as co-chairman of the Georgia-Israel caucus, made the trip with the goal of strengthening the relationship between Georgia and Israel.

Hannah Conway, our Miss Northwest Georgia 2023 graduated from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Arts in Writing & Linguistics.
Community leaders gathered with Chattahoochee Tech staff and faculty for this event at a site located near the Paulding Northwest Atlanta Airport. The three-story, 55,000-square-foot facility planned for this location will provide space for up to 200 students who will train in aviation mechanics and maintenance.
This past June, we had two amazing representatives head to Columbus, Georgia to compete for Miss Georgia. Both candidates did very well. Ansleigh brought home a Top 10 placement for our community.
