Turner Smith and Christian Thomason recently qualified for the High School State Championship Bass tournament. There 7th place finish out of a field of 58 boats during a recent tournament on West Point lake confirmed their entry into the coveted state tournament.

Their combined weight for the qualifying competition was 11.5 pounds. The NPHS Bass Fishing Team is currently in its second year and has been very competitive each season.
