Brown and Caldwell’s Kelly Comstock, a managing consultant on Paulding’s reservoir project, says work is progressing. Comstock told Paulding commissioners last week that overall the project continues on schedule and under budget.

Pickett’s Mill Battlefield Reenactment will be held this weekend June 3rd and 4th. On Saturday from 9am-11am will be the Living History, Canon Firings, Union and Confederate Camps will be open for interaction with soldiers.

Three Day Boot Drive Collects Over $17,300 for Burn Survivors. Each year during the month of May the Georgia Firefighter’s Burn Foundation (GFBF) facilitates a statewide fundraising effort known as “Give Burns the Boot.”

Chattahoochee Technical College’s Marcia Sasser, of Canton, served as an extra in the film “The Last Full Measure,” which was shot in Paulding County and is expected to be released later this year. Sasser comes from a long line of veterans and said serving as an extra in a film about a veteran was not only an honor, but her duty.

It’s no surprise that Erica Moody had job offers lined up prior to graduating from Kennesaw State University this spring. A University Honors Program student and Coles College of Business Scholar, Moody graduated magna cum laude with a degree in economics.
