Lieutenant Tanner, an officer with the Paulding County Sherriff’s Office, made a very special delivery to a seventh grade student at South Paulding Middle School. When he heard of her desire to compose and play music, he donated one of his own guitars to help her pursue her interest. Miss Jaden Tucker was surprised and delighted to receive the gift, promising that she would practice until she mastered the instrument.
October 4, 2016 - Highland Rivers Health today unveiled its new website, designed to make accessing information about the agency, its services and clinic locations easier and more intuitive from both computers and mobile devices. The new site is now online at www.highlandrivershealth.com. Most pages on the new website feature brightly colored "tiles" that list services provided in four main categories: mental health, substance abuse and addiction, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and child and adolescent.
A number of clown related social media posts were posted this past weekend regarding threats towards schools in the Paulding County School District as well as throughout the country. All of the clown threats that have been reported to the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office have been investigated and unsubstantiated.

Paulding Commissioners and other local officials attended a ground breaking ceremony last week at the project site for the Richland Creek Reservoir (RCR). The RCR will be located on approximately 700-acres of county-owned land in northern Paulding County, in Post 4 Commissioner Tony Crowe’s district. The RCR will be on Richland Creek, but will be filled with water from the Etowah River.
The Paulding County Patriots hosted the Villa Rica Wildcats in a crucial region matchup Friday night at Dave Hardin stadium in Dallas. The Patriots badly needed a victory but fell to 2-4 (1-3) on the season in a close game.It was a back and forth struggle throughout with the lead changing hands many times.
The Paulding County Library System, in partnership with The Paulding County Community Development Department, hosted an art contest for children grades kindergarten through 5th grade from August 15th to August 26th. This contest was in conjunction with the Paulding County Comprehensive Planning.
Donna's breast cancer journey, which began in September 2014, included surgery in October 2014, followed by chemotherapy and radiation. Working closely with her surgeon and care team, she decided this treatment sequence was best for her. Now cancer free, Donna came through it all like the Wonderwoman her family, friends and co-workers know that she is.
