The Children's Foundation of Paulding donated $1,800 from membership dues to CAYA Reconciliation Ministries. CAYA Reconciliation Ministries works with families in low income housing communities, single mothers, senior citizens, homeless citizens, and children.
Boy Scouts from Troop 007 of Hiram, GA, led by Life Scout Mitchell Dean, were involved in upgrading the playground of “Hearts of Fire Ministries” (578 Brownsville Rd, Powder Springs, GA) as Mitchell’s Eagle Scout Project.

1 in 5 students went hungry in the last month, and one in 10 students has been homeless. GHC is working to combat this with its own Charger Food Pantry. Since March, over 170 bags of food have been distributed to students in need at all of GHC’s locations.
On July 5, 2016 at approximately 4:50 PM the Paulding County 911 Center received a call in reference to three people shot at 65 Pine Valley Drive. The caller advised that the subject was actively shooting. A deputy observed the subject with an AR-15 style rifle in the back yard of 55 Pine Valley Drive.
Our Summer Reading theme of “On Your Mark, Get Set, READ!” has come to a close for this year, but that doesn’t mean that the fun, free activities at the New Georgia Library will stop! This Thursday, the 21st We’ll be reading stories all healthy food and using dances and songs to help us get through the books! Storytime always starts at 10:30am.
