Boy Scouts from Troop 007 of Hiram, GA, led by Life Scout Mitchell Dean, were involved in upgrading the playground of “Hearts of Fire Ministries” (578 Brownsville Rd, Powder Springs, GA) as Mitchell’s Eagle Scout Project.
Scouts from Troop 007, Cub Scout Pack 750, and church members worked together on various weekends in April, May & June to replace worn and broken structures and fences around the children’s playground making the equipment safe for all ages. Tasks included spreading many truckloads of mulch, mowing grass, trimming shrubs and building a picnic table for the church’s use.
This Eagle Scout Service Project was organized, coordinated, and overseen by Mitchell as part of his requirements for promotion to Eagle Scout. Thanks to all who helped Mitchell achieve his goal.
