Paulding Deputies responded to a fatal plane crash in southern Paulding County off of Georgian Parkway yesterday afternoon. At approximately 12:59 PM on Monday, November 8, 2021, Paulding E-911 received a phone call from a complainant who indicated that they observed a small single-engine plane “sputtering” and then “spiraling downward” toward a wooded area near The Georgian subdivision.

Thanks to an initiative involving 66 Georgia Sheriffs, 35 sex offenders were arrested and 51 warrants were issued across the state from October 25 – November 1, 2021, for violations of state registration laws. In 2015, the first coordinated effort across the state was launched to conduct residence verifications and compliance checks of registered sex offenders during a specific period.

Paulding County Emergency Management Agency held its fourth Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Basic Training Course with 10 new volunteers successfully completing the application and training requirements to hold a position on the team.

The Chattahoochee Tech Foundation raised $68,000 at its annual Reverse Raffle fundraiser held at the college’s North Metro Campus on Oct. 21 to help Chattahoochee Tech students in need.

Sheriff Gary Gulledge announces the 2021 Paulding Cops for Kids, Inc. Christmas shopping event requirements and important dates. Paulding Cops for Kids, Inc. is in its 23rd year and takes underprivileged children who live in Paulding County and pairs them with a Deputy to go shopping at Christmas.

Upon arrival, Deputies learned that Mrs. Matilde Gonzalez had not been heard from in over twenty-four hours. Original responding Deputies then requested the assistance of Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division of the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office.
