McKinley Queen was recognized by Dallas Mayor Boyd Austin and members of Dallas City Council for the completion of his Eagle Scout Service Project. McKinley was presented with a certificate of appreciation and commended for his achievement during May’s council meeting.
Chattahoochee Technical College will be expanding its program offerings with a new diploma and certificate program in barbering this fall. The college already offers cosmetology classes at three of its campuses, the new barbering courses will be added to the schedule for the Marietta Campus.

Paulding Board of Commissioners voted 3-2 last week in support of an agenda item from Post 3 Commissioner Vernon Collett that amends section 2-61 of the Paulding County code of ordinances regarding videotaping and broadcast of Board of Commissioners meetings to include gavel to gavel coverage including entire public participation segments.
Paulding Court Administrator Frank Baker and Paulding Superior Court Judge Dean Bucci addressed the Board of Commissioners during their May 12 morning session regarding off-site trips to drug court programs. Bucci told the Board that the next visit was planned to Whitfield County, which has a very successful program and could serve as model for Paulding County.
