American Legion & Pirate Printing to Host Welcome Home Event for Vietnam Veterans

American Legion Post 111 & Pirate Printing will be hosting a “Welcome Home” event for Vietnam Veterans on Saturday, June 10, 2017. The event will consist of a ride, a welcome and a party.
The ride portion of the event will start at 1:00 PM. Vietnam Veterans, their families, friends and interested members of the public should meet at Stars & Strikes, 2400 Hiram Acworth Highway, Dallas, GA 30157. Cars, trucks, motorcycles and Jeeps are welcome. Kick Stands Up, or the ride departure time will be 2:00 PM. The American Legion Riders will escort the group to American Legion Post 111 in Dallas.
Those interested in welcoming the Vietnam Veterans Home are requested to gather at the American Legion Post 111, 2587 Scoggins Road, Dallas, GA 30157 between 2:15 and 2:30 PM. Bring a flag to wave and greet the Veterans at the end of their ride as they are escorted to Post 111.
At 3:00 PM there will be an informal gathering at American Legion Post 111, including a band as well as a DJ. Hamburgers and Hot Dogs will be available.
