My name is Jack Sosbee, a 77 year old cyclist from Dallas Ga. Most of my cycling is on the Silver Comet trail in Ga. For the last seven years I've cycled across the states of Fla, Ga. Back in 2003 while still working I was able to bike on some evenings and weekends. When I retired in 2009, I was able to step up my cycling to three days a week, a total of 225 miles. At that time I set a goal to cycle 100,000 miles before reaching the age of 78. Along the way, I've had several accidents along the way from a torn hamstring, fractured rib and a broken bone on my left hand. This year I've cycled across the states of Fla, Ga, Ala, Va, Ia and NC. The Photo's shown were taken during my rides across Ga. On July 29th I reached my goal of 100,000 miles as you can see from the Photo's taken. One reason why I'm writing this is because I hope to inspire and modivate people to think about doing some cycling because it's a great way to excersize and the Silver Comet Trail would be a great place to start. Thanks So Much.
