GHB Raises Money for Paulding County Cops for Kids Program

Georgia Heritage Bank recently partnered with the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office to raise money for Paulding County Cops for Kids Program by sponsoring a Community Shred Day on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at its main office location in Dallas, GA. Community members were able to bring up to three boxes of their personal documents to be shredded for free. Members of the Paulding County Explorers were on hand to help with loading the boxes into the shredding truck. Georgia Heritage Bank collected donations to be given to the Paulding County Cops for Kids Program which provides Christmas presents for children in the community. Georgia Heritage Bank matched all funds donated and is thrilled to know that the money raised will directly impact local families.
“Shred Day has become an annual event for us and we are happy to not only provide this service to members of our community, but to also raise funds for a worthy cause,” said Alex Crenshaw, Banking Officer with Georgia Heritage Bank. “We take our role as a community bank very seriously and use this day as an opportunity to give back to the community we serve.”
Shredding of personal documents is a great preventative measure against fraud; however, professional shredding services can be costly. “We want to do our part to make this an easy, affordable process for people,” said Mr. Crenshaw, “and by collecting and matching donations, we take it a step further and help many.”
