Deputy Debra Brand Retires From the Sheriff’s Office
On Friday November 11, 2016 Deputy Debra Brand, of the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office, was recognized at a retirement ceremony which was held in her honor at the Paulding County Courthouse. On hand to recognize her for her service was Sheriff Gary Gulledge, along with numerous Deputies, Detention Officers, friends, and family members.
Deputy Debra Brand began her career at the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office on January 26, 2001 as a Detention Officer. A short time later, she was promoted to a Deputy in the Court Services Division. Deputy Brand spent the majority of her career in the Court Services Division helping to secure the courthouse and watching over trials. During her nearly sixteen year career at the Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Brand worked for Sheriff Bruce Harris (Retired), and Sheriff Gary Gulledge. Sheriff Gulledge remarked, “Deputy Brand was a great Deputy in the Court Services Division! She was level headed and treated each and every person that came into the courthouse with the utmost respect and professionalism. I certainly don’t know how we will replace her; she will be sorely missed”.
The Deputies, Detention Officers, and staff of the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office want to thank Deputy Brand for her service and congratulate her on an excellent career. We hope she enjoys her much deserved retirement.
