The Paulding County Chamber of Commerce last week announced the appointment of Stacy Hamby as their new President. Hamby will assume responsibilities on December 15, 2016, and succeeds Carolyn Wright, who retired earlier this year.
Ms. Hamby comes with a wealth of experience in the industry, having over 11 years of Chamber experience.
Hamby graduated Cum Laude from West Georgia College with a Bachelor of Science degree. She is married to Paulding native Mark Hamby, and they have four children.
Of Hamby Christine Mullinax, 2016 Paulding Chamber Board Chair said, “Stacy has proven that her experience, passion and Chamber knowledge make her a key addition to the Paulding Chamber family. We view her appointment as a sign of our commitment to Chamber members and Paulding County. It is very fortunate that we were able to find someone of Stacy’s caliber to fulfill this role. I’m confident Stacy will play a key role in providing and implementing high quality programs, services and opportunities for our members and the businesses in Paulding County.”
Paulding’s Chamber of Commerce has been serving Paulding County since 1961, and has continued to implement programs to promote local business growth and stimulate the economy. The Paulding Chamber has added several new programs including a “Grow Paulding, Buy Local” initiative, new industry specific alliances, a tourism council and quarterly educational seminars that are scheduled to roll out in 2017.
