Mulberry Rock Park Official Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

Paulding County officially opened its newest park at 1849 Mulberry Rock Rd. in Dallas, GA. Many citizens and community representatives including the Paulding County Board of Commissioners were in attendance to celebrate the grand opening. Michael Justus, Paulding Parks, and Recreation Director welcomed everyone to the opening ceremony and he thanked the members of his staff, contractors and everyone involved for their hard work in opening the park. Paulding County Board of Commissioners Chairman David Carmichael addressed the crowd and acknowledged the accomplishment of the park for the county. Funded by SPLOST at a cost of approximately $9.3 million. 160 acres total, 100 acres have been developed in Phase 1. Amenities include 1 enclosed pavilion, 5 open-air group shelters with picnic tables, 4 single table family shelters, 3 miles of walking trails (a one-mile loop and a two-mile loop), 1 large playground and a community garden area.
Todd Pownall Commissioner of Post II, where the park resides, acknowledged and thanked those involved in opening the park to the community.
