Dallas Resident, Krystal Gray, Announces Launch of Her Newest Children’s Book, “Sonny the Snowflake”
DALLAS – January 28, 2022 – Inspirational story teaches children that through friendship, adversity can result in personal growth and new confidence. Children’s author Krystal Gray announced the release of her new book, “Sonny the Snowflake.” After the success of her first book, “Charlie the Chihuahua,” Ms. Gray has written her second delightful book that is sure to entertain with a fun story and an educational message. “Sonny the Snowflake” informs children with lessons about friendship and facing adversity that may come their way to make us stronger and more confident.
As “Sonny the Snowflake” unfolds, readers are carried away to frigid skies above. There, slowly falling and swirling about is a snowflake called Sonny with his best friend, Sam. His friend has been growing and is now much larger than Sonny. Poor Sonny looks around and realizes that he is the smallest snowflake – smaller than everyone. The sun is about to come out, which puts him in danger. Sonny is at risk of completely melting away and must now fight for his very life.
To avoid melting away, Sonny decides to take Sam’s advice. Through the struggle, Sam appears with help and storm clouds begin to push them higher, and through this, Sonny finds that he has grown, teaching kids that adversity can take us to new heights.
Gray, who also illustrates her books, was born in Los Angeles and lived there for most of her life before relocating to Dallas. When not writing she can be found hiking trails and perusing local museums and bookstores.
