EPHS Public Safety Night Dec. 2017

On December 1, 2017, East Paulding High School’s Principal Mr. Jason Freeman and Athletic Director Mr. Brad Thomason welcomed everyone to the first Raider basketball game of the season and the first game in East Paulding High School’s new gym. That night was designated as EPHS Public Safety Night where the Raider Family thanked the Fire Department and all other first responders for their help during the process of rebuilding their gym after the fire this summer. Thank you to all who attended this special night where East Paulding High School recognized all Paulding County Public Safety men and women that serve and protect our county each and every day. In attendance were representatives from these areas of Public Safety: From the Sheriff’s Department, Colonel Hunton, Division Chief Kevin Hart with Captain Mark Morgan, Lieutenant Scott Brown, and Firefighters Jeff Couvillon, Brandon Maple, William Riner, and Brad Wood. Operations Supervisor for Paulding County Puckett EMS Karen Robinson. In addition, Paulding County Executive Director for High School’s Dr. Susan Browning, EPHS’s Principal Mr. Jason Freeman, EPHS’s Athletic Director Mr. Brad Thomason, and EPHS DECA Officers Mollie Jackson and Hannah Varnum.
East Paulding High School presented each area of Public Safety a plaque as a small token of appreciation for their service to Paulding County. On behalf of all Paulding County Public Safety Officials, Colonel Hunton and Division Chief Kevin Hart were presented basketballs signed by the East Paulding Raiders and Coach Boydstone, Coach Whitaker, Coach Black, and Staff. Also, a special thank you to the Texas Roadhouse in Hiram for showing their support and appreciation by providing a pre-game dinner and for the desserts provided by Mrs. Susan Jones and Mrs. Tammy Driskell. And a big thank you to the leaders of our Paulding County Public Safety branches!
