Hiram JROTC Wins at State

The Hiram Stinger Battalion Drill Team qualified to attend the State Drill Competition when placing in the events of Female Regulation Armed Platoon, Unarmed Platoon, Unarmed Squad, and Armed Squad at the Area Drill Meet held at Langston Hughes High School. This past Saturday, 17 March 2018, the Drill Team traveled to the State Drill Competition held at Griffin High School. The Female Regulation Unarmed Squad was led by c/1LT Brionna Findley, Armed Squad by c/1SG Alexis Abercrombie, and both Armed and Unarmed Platoon by c/1LT Imoni Findley. The Stinger Ladies did well in all four events but, they were able to secure a third place in the Regulation Unarmed Platoon, as well as a chance to compete at Nationals in April. This was a grand moment as the team put in a great deal of hard work and dedication that has finally paid off Foreshadowing onto the next season, all members on the team, Male and Female are prepared to work even harder next year to place high in all events and come back to state once more. Let’s go HORNETS! Whose Town?! H-TOWN!
