North Paulding participates in the Annual Georgia Trout Camp
Over the summer break, six former and current North Paulding students participated in the annual, "Georgia Trout Camp" event. Andrew Thompson and Aidan McGowen attended as campers. Hunter Pittman, Cameron Furr, Tucker Taylor, and Tripp Weaver, all former Trout Camp Graduates, served as young mentors and were assigned various tasks to help the campers learn the art of fly fishing and cold-water conservation. Mr. Rodney Tumlin, an NPHS science teacher, is the Director of Georgia Trout Camp. This was the 15th year of the week-long camp which is sponsored by the Georgia Council of Trout Unlimited. Students and mentors were housed on the campus of the Rabun Gap/ Nacoochee School in Rabun County. The campers ages range from 13-15.
