Dallas Elementary School competed in the Regional Science Olympiad Competition on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Woodland High School. Out of 19 schools participating, The Dallas Elementary FLASH Squad, placed 12th. The students worked and studied all year for these events before school and during their Science Club meetings. The team placed 1st in the Straw Tower Building event, 3rd in the Paper Rockets, 5th,6th ,9th, and 10th in other science events. The students were coached by head coaches Suzanne Simmons and Stephanie Atkinson, and assistant coaches Erin Hardin and Jackie Thomason.
