On March 21st, the W.C. Abney Eagle families enjoyed their annual art show. The 'Adventure in Art' show featured 1,050 student artworks on display of animals from around the world.
It was rivalry week for the Paulding County Patriots girls soccer team as they played 3 games in 5 days all against in county foes South, Hiram, and East. When the dust settled Friday night they came out victorious in all 3 matches and improved their record to 11-1 overall and 5-0 in the region alone in first place.
Georgia Highlands College’s Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) chapter’s stellar year reached a new height this month when the team brought home more honors than any other college in attendance at the All-Georgia Academic Team Awards luncheon in Atlanta.
Recently, Eight students from the North Paulding Fly Fishing and Coldwater Conservation Club braved the wind and rain to fly fish for trout in the Toccoa River near the mountain town of Blue Ridge.
The administration of Hiram High School was alerted about a student who was possibly looking into a girl’s restroom through “peep holes” in the ceiling tiles. Another student observed and took a photograph of the 15 year old male suspect climbing down from the ceiling area back into the boy’s bathroom.
North Paulding High School honors its teacher and rookie of the year for 2017. Both are doing outstanding work as educators in North Paulding. Both bring to decades of experience and have achieved excellence in educating and participating with students.
The North Paulding Wolfpack baseball team improved their record to 6-4 on the young season with a victory on the road at Hiram by a score of 9-2 in blustery weather conditions.
Exciting Spring Tennis shows up in South Paulding. The Spartans show they are ready to fight back the cold-weather and usher in spring with some tennis talent. Hannah Brooks, Emma Clarke and Keely Pirtle flex their muscles and speed to Douglas County.

Competing against Army JROTC programs from across the country and around the world, approximately 1,327 teams in round one and 549 teams in round two, the Stinger BN Leadership Team earned one of forty spots to the annual Leadership Championship (JLAB) in Washington, DC.

Despite a 28-point performance from sophomore swingman Keith Ray, a career high, the No. 5 seed Golden Eagles fell 98-86 at No. 4 South Georgia State in the quarterfinals of the GCAA tournament Tuesday night.
