Paulding County Fire & Rescue Promotes New Officers

Hiram, Georgia – October 7th, 2016 – PCFD announced the promotion of several officers this week.
Battalion Chief Brandon Newsome has been promoted to the position of Division Chief. Newsome is a 20-year veteran of the Department. In this new role, he will be responsible for leading all field personnel and Fire/EMS operations on A-shift.
Chris Robinson has been promoted to the position of Battalion Chief. Robinson started his career as a volunteer firefighter before being employed full time in 2004. He has served as a Lieutenant and station officer for the last 7 years.
And, as part of the Department’s comprehensive plan to keep up with the rapidly growing call for emergency services, PCFD announced several other promotions this week.
Scott Brown, Jason Edwards, Brannon Kirksey, and Kevin Van Dyke have all been named Sergeant’s. In this role they will each assume responsibility for supervising personnel at several Fire Stations across the County, and will be directly responsible for guiding tactical response to 911 calls.
