Youth and adults come together 3 to 4 days in the summer to do all kinds of repairs and improvements to seniors and needy families in our area. Thank you for following our labor of love. We enjoy building these wheelchair ramps and the fellowship is awesome. God's work for God's people.
We returned to the Gold Dome on Monday, January 29 for the fourth week of the 2018 legislative session. This week, House committees continued to hold hearings to review and discuss bill proposals, and the House convened Monday through Thursday to take up important issues and pass meaningful legislation for the good of every Georgian.
The Hiram Hornets staked their claim to the throne of Region 7 (5A) in an upset of #4 ranked Villa Rica on Friday night in an exciting game played at Paulding County High School. The Hornets defeated the Wildcats 48-43 and in so doing claimed a #1 seed in the State tournament.
UPDATED: Paulding County Sheriff’s Office Crimes Against Children Division made contact with Isaiah Robles. Robles was at a friend’s house in Kennesaw and is okay.
Six Paulding County 4-H’ers joined over 400 4-H youth and leaders for 4-H Day at the Capitol. While in Atlanta, they met with their state Senators and Representatives and saw the House of Representatives during that day’s session. The eventful day included visits with Representative Howard Maxwell (Dist. 17), Senator Bill Heath (Dist. 31), Representative Paulette Rakestraw (Dist. 19).
On January 25, 2018, East Paulding High School’s DECA Chapter hosted its 2nd Annual “Mr. Raider Pageant”. The pageant was a fundraising effort for Coach Steven Rahn’s Family. Unexpectedly, East Paulding High School lost Coach Steven Rahn during July of 2017.

Congressman Tom Graves visited the Paulding County Boys & Girls Club last week. Graves spoke to the kids and answered questions about his role in government, how to give a good speech, and the state’s role in helping the community.
Paulding County hosted its annual Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl competition over the weekend. Students from several elementary and middle schools went head-to-head to answer questions about books they’ve read over the last several months. This marks Panter Elementary's first Reading Bowl win.
