On Monday, September 11, 2017, the Paulding County Sheriff's Office and the Paulding County Fire Department will hold a ceremony at Mt. Tabor Park (at the 9-11 memorial site) honoring the men and women who gave their lives to help others on one unforgettable day, 9/11/2001.
Paulding County Fire & Rescue recently received a 9/11 memorial flag framed with the names of the first responders on it. Ms. Nancy O’Marra of Dallas, Georgia donated the flag to the fire department to honor her husband and the fallen responders of September 11th.

Dallas council members qualified for the Ward 1 and 3 seats and one of two At-Large seats. Incumbents in those seats include Chris Carter, Griffin White and Nancy Arnold. Carter will face a challenge from Terry David Johnson, while both Arnold and White are unopposed in the election.
Detectives with the Dallas Police Department took Lowe Deontae Payne (B/M, 23 YOA) into custody without incident. Payne turned himself into Detectives at the Dallas Police Department reference charges that were taken against him in regards to the murder that took place in the Vista Lake Subdivision earlier this week.
Paulding commissioners approved the $1.7 million purchase of the former SunTrust Bank building at 3844 Atlanta Hwy. in Dallas for a new Paulding County Water System administration building.
