Paulding County high school kicked off the JROTC raider season by hosting a scrimmage for all the Army JROTC raider teams in the county. The cadets competed in rope bridge, obstacle course, ammo can relay runs, Cross Country Rescue (CCR), and an obstacle course.
Robert Reynolds began on July 27 as Executive Director of the Industrial Building Authority. Plans for the future of Paulding’s Economic Development Organization, of which Reynolds is director, were not yet known.
Patriots deliver 9-1 victory against Kell High School of Marietta. The Patriots improved to 3-3 (2-2) on the season.
Lesley Newland is Vice President of Operations/Co-Owner of Lighthouse Investment Advisors, Inc. She owns her business with her husband Wayne. Lesley became a licensed insurance agent in 2012 after a 16-year teaching career. Her role has now changed from educating students in the classroom to educating clients on their insurance and retirement needs.

Patrons gathered to the Hiram Public Library on August 21st to join the nation in viewing the spectacular, historic solar eclipse. Many members of the community were given the chance to safely view the eclipse with the help of the Paulding public libraries.
Paulding County Sheriff’s Office, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, and Deputy Marshals with the United States Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force took Darnell Isaiah Priester into custody without incident. Priester was arrested on warrants in reference to the homicide that took place on Friday August 18th.
Elemental Games, a tabletop gaming store in Dallas, Ga, has been a satallite store for a nationwide tournament called the Unrivaled Tournament Series. The players who are going to Las Vegas will be Ami Dark, Daniel Godinez, Angel Davis, Brandon Brantley and Christian Greene, each one a constant customer of Elemental Games.
