South Paulding traveled to Creekside to play the Seminoles for their last game of the year. South finished the season with a record of 2-8 after a loss to Creekside 42-21.

Paulding County School District Superintendent Cliff Cole delivered the ‘state of the schools’ address as last week’s keynote speaker at the Chamber Luncheon in Dallas. To Paulding business leaders Cole stressed the importance of a team concept in which all members are important to the school system’s overall success.

Hiram’s city manager Barry Atkison announced his resignation during the council’s November regular meeting last week. Atkison’s resignation comes just seven months after his appointment.

Guest speaker, Chief financial officer for the WellStar Health System, Mr. Jim Budzinski. Addressing healthcare in general and gave the primary contributing factors for the rising cost. Three particular factors are putting pressure on the healthcare industry; cost, an aging population and regulation.

Georgia Classic Rides presented $4,000.00 to Paulding children’s programs. Programs presented checks at the Georgia Classic Rides October 2016 Car Cruise were Paulding Cops for Kids, Poole Elementary School Backpack Program, New Georgia Elementary School Backpack Program, and Paulding Christmas.

The Kiwanis Club of Paulding County with the help of the Kennesaw State University Paulding Circle K, the Kiwanis club of college students, served up our Flapjack Fundraiser on November 5th at the Applebee's in Hiram. With almost 200 people from the community of Paulding, participated for the students of Union Elementary in Temple.
