Last week across the United States the spotlight was on veterans. GreyStone Power took the opportunity to honor the vets who are are employed by, or are retired from, the member-owned electric cooperative. GreyStone hosted a breakfast to show respect to those who have given of themselves for America though military service.

This past week voted in favor of the Iran Sanctions Extension Act (H.R. 6297), legislation to allow sanctions on Iran to continue through 2026.

Paulding County Fire and Rescue and the Georgia Forestry Commission were initially called in last week to battle a wildfire encompassing as many as 20 acres, which eventually spread to 120 acres, producing a large amount of smoke visible to residents in the western part of Paulding County near Dallas, Yorkville, and Rockmart.
