Georgia Highlands College fall enrollment saw yet another bump this year with an increase of 4.6 percent. This is the fifth consecutive enrollment increase for GHC. This increase follows a 9.9 percent increase in the summer, a 6.3 percent increase last spring and a 7.1 percent increase last fall.

The UGA Extension offices in Carroll, Coweta, and Paulding counties have teamed up to facilitate The Journeyman Farmer Certificate Program. It is a comprehensive training program for beginning and small farmers provided by UGA Cooperative Extension.
Paulding voters said “No” to Amendment 1 that allowed for state intervention in schools, but said “Yes” to the $77 million bond issue to build a new jail. Voters took advantage of Early voting and turnout for the Presidential Election was just under 80 percent of registered voters.

Sergeant Mike Willingham of the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office Motor Services Division was awarded the Paulding County Board of Commissioner’s Public Safety Award. Sergeant Willingham received the award for his exemplary service to the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office.
