Paulding Rotary Club participated in the Feeding America Backpack Program this February. The club sorted and delivered over 5000 pounds of food to 16 elementary schools in Paulding County. Many children right here in Paulding County need easy to prepare food for weekend meals. More than 22 million children receive free or reduced-price meals through the national school breakfast & lunch programs.
ATLANTA, GA – Monday, January 28, 2019; State House Representative Rep. Kimberly Alexander (D-66), along with Carolyn Hugley (D-136), Sen. Nan Orrock (D- 36), Rep. Sam Park (D-101), Rep. David Dreyer (D-59), and Sen. Ed Harbison (D-15) launched the new Georgia Legislative Voting Rights Caucus. Rep. Hugley will serve as Chair for the caucus. The Voting Rights Caucus will serve to support the goal of enhancing voting rights in Georgia, recognizing that voting is the cornerstone of democracy.

The Hiram High School Stinger Battalion hosted its annual Hornet Invitational Drill Meet on Saturday, 26 Jan 2019. Twenty-five teams from throughout the Atlanta metro area competed in 10 different events. The Stingers finished strong with two Second place wins in the female unarmed squad and male/mix unarmed platoon.
Paulding E-911 received a 911 call reference a shooting that had just occurred at 37 Mill Lane Dallas, GA 30157 (Powder Mill Subdivision). While Deputies were en route, an alert Trooper with the Georgia State Patrol, observed a dark in color truck which was driving erratically. The truck then failed to stop at the traffic signal at the aforementioned intersection.
Mrs. Imogene Nelson of the Paulding WellStar Nursing Home visits the Paulding Rotary. Mrs.Imogene brought members of the club up-to-date on the changes at the WellStar Paulding nursing home. She also recounts how the Rotary Club has made a difference to the patients at the nursing home over the years.
Terri Clark is one of few artists that have been able to be heard on the radio in two countries, Canada and the USA. Clark co-wrote most of her songs for her first three albums. Terri Clark and her band will be performing at Mill Town Music Hall in Bremen on Saturday, January 26th at 7:30 pm.
