Homework Helpers at New Georgia Library
Whew! This school year is moving along and already back in full swing! Children come home with books to read, lots to talk about, and sometimes lots of homework! The New Georgia Library, with help from some AWESOME volunteers, has started a Homework Helpers Group for kids that might need a little extra help and encouragement with their after school worksheets and projects! This FREE group is open to ALL elementary aged students K-5, whether they go to a public school or are homeschooled! Homework Helpers will meet every Wednesday from 4-5, and on Saturdays from 11-noon. Our first Wednesday meet up is September 7th, and due to Labor Day our first Saturday will be September 10th. Spots are limited, so registration is required! You can sign your child up in person, or over the phone! This is a great opportunity, so sign up fast!
While you’re getting your child set up with Homework Helpers, remember that September is also National Library Card Sign-Up Month! If you still need a library card, visit us at 94 Ridge Road in Dallas (Mon-Th 10-7, Fr-Sat 9-5) and we’ll get you set up! For additional information about Homework Helpers or details about all of our other fantastic events, you can give us a call at 770-459-8163.You can even see a full calendar of everything going on through our website at Facebook.com/NewGeorgiaLibrary or our regional website at WGRL.net. We have a perfect event for every member of your family, and everything is FREE. We’ll see you soon!
