Chattahoochee Tech Holding Health Care Day In Paulding
(Paulding, Ga. – Oct. 11, 2016) This past Thursday, Oct. 27, the Paulding Chamber of Commerce’s Economic Development Committee hosted a Health Career Expo at Chattahoochee Technical College’s Paulding Campus, located at 400 Nathan Dean Boulevard, in Dallas.
The event brought about 250 high school students to campus, with approximately 50 coming from each of the Paulding high schools to learn about various careers and topics in the health care industry. In attendance was Shelbia Bone vice president, Paulding Chamber of Commerce and Lanette Toler human resource specialist for Greystone Power. Representing representing higher education Missy Cusack, Chattahoochee Technical College and Connie Watjen Georgia Highland College Dean of the Paulding campus.
“This is such a great event for high school students to become exposed to the growing number of health care careers inside or just outside their own back yard,” Executive Director of Admissions and Records Missy Cusack said.
Sponsors of this year's event are Greystone Power, Chattahoochee Technical College and Georgia Highlands College. Students enjoyed lunch on campus as part of the 5 hour event which included live presentations and demos relating to health care.
