Family Alliance of Paulding, Inc. works in cooperation with the court system in providing supervised visitation for families where addiction, domestic violence, mental health issues, and other behaviors put their children in danger. Lieutenant Tanner, an officer with the Paulding County Sherriff’s Office, made a very special delivery to a seventh grade student at South Paulding Middle School. When he heard of her desire to compose and play music, he donated one of his own guitars to help her pursue her interest. Miss Jaden Tucker was surprised and delighted to receive the gift, promising that she would practice until she mastered the instrument.
The Paulding County Library System, in partnership with The Paulding County Community Development Department, hosted an art contest for children grades kindergarten through 5th grade from August 15th to August 26th. This contest was in conjunction with the Paulding County Comprehensive Planning.
Donna's breast cancer journey, which began in September 2014, included surgery in October 2014, followed by chemotherapy and radiation. Working closely with her surgeon and care team, she decided this treatment sequence was best for her. Now cancer free, Donna came through it all like the Wonderwoman her family, friends and co-workers know that she is.
Georgia 4-H’s 172,354 student members will celebrate National 4-H Week Oct. 2-8. During the week, the state’s largest youth development organization wants to raise awareness of the program that started as a club for farm kids and has grown into a place that helps youth become successful and confident adults.

Georgia Highlands College is working with high schools and college and career academies throughout Northwest Georgia to offer students more accessible college courses while they are still in high school. “Part of our access mission is to make courses available to students in a variety of formats and times to meet their needs,” Vice President for Student Affairs Todd Jones said.

Rotary Club
With a population in excess of 150,000, Paulding County is able to sustain two (2) Rotary Clubs: Dallas Rotary Club AND Rotary Club of Paulding County.
The Dallas Rotary Club is the newer of the clubs. It was established in 2003 and has 17 active members. This club currently has its regular meetings on Thursday mornings at Audrey’s Cafe. Please check Facebook for schedule.
The Paulding County Rotary Club, the first Rotary Club in Paulding County, was chartered in 1969. It has approximately 42 active members and meets regularly.
Although the clubs are different from one another, the common mission is the same – SERVICE TO COMMUNITY. We invite you to visit each club to determine which is the best fit for you.
