Abney 5th Grade Stem Challenge

Abney elementary challenges their students with science projects. Both fun and entertaining for students, they are learning valuable and practical science.

5th grade STEM challenge: create a hybrid animal from a vertebrae and non vertebrae. The hybrid animal must have two movable parts. In addition, your team must stay under a $500.00 budget to purchase materials from the STEM store.

Can you outrun a dinosaur? Third graders measuring their running strides compared to a Coelophysis or "Cee Lo" the dinosaur.

Could you be a professional sound effects artist? Fourth graders working on creating the sound effects of a thunder storm.

Abney's vision is to work together as a community providing a safe and supportive learning environment that builds responsible citizens. Located in New Hope and the elementary currently has 1060 students enrolled, prekindergarten through fifth grade.
