Hiram Cares
Hiram Cares is a program established by Hiram High School to address needs of the community and our Hiram family. This program has given funds to support families impacted by fire, floods, and other disasters. In early September, students from Hiram High School showed that Hiram Cares for Houston in support of those affected by Hurricane Harvey. HHS Students collected bottled water, diapers, and hygiene products to support those families devastated by that storm. Students helped to fill one rented truck that was driven down by school staff member Mrs. Vicky Grayson and her husband Martin Grayson to the town of Vidor TX where extensive flooding impacted the entire town. Students next worked with Silverline Windows by Anderson in Lithia Springs GA., who transported two more pallets of bottled water this last week to the Houston area. Using collected funds, HHS students and Hiram Cares are now turning their attention to the victims of Hurricane Irma. Books purchased through Amazon are being sent to a middle school classroom in the Sarasota, FL area. As Hiram Cares finds out about other needs, HHS students will be supporting that drive as well. We want to thank all our Hiram family who gave so generously to help support this program. It truly shows that this school is all about family!
