WC Abney Elementary Veterans Day Special Guest: Airman First Class, Mason Goodroe

The Veterans Day celebration at WC Abney Elementary is always a special day! I am a second-grade teacher there, and this year was even more special for me as my son, Airman First Class, Mason Goodroe was able to attend. Mason was a 2016 graduate of East Paulding High School. He was presented red roses by dear family friend, Reagan Tibbitts, a fourth grader at Abney, and he spent time in the second grade answering questions about his job with the KC135 refueling aircraft.

Mason left Abney, changed into his dress blues and visited with Veterans in a nursing home in Canton. Atticus has been Mason’s loyal companion since Mason was 9 years old.
