Paulding / Douglas County Rifle Teams Shoot Out

On Saturday 2 December, Hiram High school hosted the first annual Paulding / Douglas county rifle team shoot off. Every High school from each county that has a rifle team, came together this past Saturday and faced off against each other. This was the first time the schools have attempted a tournament of this size, but plan to make it an annual event. The event was sponsored by the local Army National Guard, who provided lunch and trophies for the competitors. The competition came down to Douglas County High verse Paulding County High, with Paulding County taking the cup home for this first year. North Paulding High School secured the third-place position for the day. Congratulations to all competitors and look forward to seeing you again next year.
