Abney Celebrates the Holidays and Gives Back!

W. C. Abney’s annual Christmas Chorus program and Toys for Tots toy drive were a huge success. Our chorus is 176 3rd, 4th and 5th-grade members strong. It includes a 26 person Orff ensemble and 4th and 5th-grade recorder players. It’s conducted by our music teacher Ms. Glee Barber. They performed Tuesday, Dec. 5th at our PTA meeting and again the following morning for the entire school. It was a great way to get into the holiday spirit. Another great way was by donating a new toy to our annual Toys for Tots toy drive. We collected over 430 new toys! Marines were on hand to take these toys to distribution centers so the toys get to tots in need. Happy Holidays from our Abney family to yours
