W. C. Abney Elementary School D.A.R.E. Essay Winners
The fifth graders at Abney recently graduated from the D.A.R.E. program sponsored by the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office. D.A.R.E. stands for Drug Abuse Resistance Education. Deputy Rodney Mitchell did a great job of meeting the student’s educational needs through the program but also building a relationship with the students as he worked with them. Thanks so much to the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office for continuing to sponsor this very important and worthwhile program.Winners of each classroom essay contest are Mrs. Richter’s class-Owen Garbade; Mrs. Heal’s class- Mady Cousins; Mrs. Clark’s class-Isabelle Allen; Mrs. Studdard’s class-Rylan Olds; Mrs. Stone’s class- Charlee Clancy; Ms. Morrison’s class- Leslie Sibley.
