PCHS JROTC Patriot Battalion Holiday Food and Toy Drives

Each year the Paulding County High School JROTC Patriot Battalion assists families in need during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Through numerous fundraising efforts, the Battalion builds 10 Thanksgiving Food Baskets for families of PCHS students needing assistance during Thanksgiving, which includes a turkey with all of the trimmings. These baskets are then hand-delivered to families as they arrive at the school the day before Thanksgiving break.
Additionally, The Patriot Battalion, in partnership with students from the School’s Chick-Fil-A Leader Academy, plans and organizes a school-wide food and toy drive for the annual Hope for Christmas charity at West Ridge Church. Collection of items at the high school lasted from the middle of November to December 1st. This event not only brings a Hope for Christmas to families in Paulding County but in most cases, a guarantee. The Battalion met and exceeded their goal this year by collecting over 1,600 items school-wide and thank everyone who donated.
