Teacher Appreciation Week provides us all an opportunity to say thank you to the educators who give so much of themselves for their work, and to so many, it’s so much more than work. To show their appreciation, the South Paulding Cheer Squad took a moment to recognize the outstanding educators at South Paulding High School with an appreciation breakfast. The cheer team hosted the annual breakfast on Thursday, May 5, as a way of extending their thanks for the unselfish sacrifices the educators and staff of SPHS make on a daily basis.
Holly Northern, a junior South Paulding High School cheerleader, said: “As a student of South Paulding High School, I would like to thank all the teachers for everything they do for each other and every student. From staying late and grading papers, to coming in early and preparing for the day ahead; I appreciate everything the teachers do to ensure our academic success.”
Teacher Appreciation Week is a National holiday that is observed each year during the first full week of May. The National Education Association describes National Teacher Day “as a day for honoring teachers and recognizing the lasting contributions they make to our lives”.
