The Battle for Paulding – Raiders win over Patriots

Paulding Patriots took on East Paulding Raiders at the boneyard for the annual Battle for Paulding. The game started out with a 6 point Patriots lead after the first half but the battle turned after halftime. The Raiders walked away with decisive 42 to 13 victory.
The Raiders tone for the first half came on the first K.O. return to East Paulding when the return was tipped and recovered by Paulding. Paulding made two field goals and a touchdown in the 2nd quarter. The Paulding TD came with a completed pass was fumbled and knocked in the end zone only to be recovered by Paulding for a touchdown. East Paulding Skyler Melton rushed 6 yards for the only TD in the 2nd quarter.
After the halftime, the Raiders took the field with determination. #2 returned a 98-yard kick off to start the 3rd quarter. Two more touchdowns were made by Tyrell Robinson. Then in the fourth, #15 grabbed a Patriots handoff and ran back for 95 yards to the end zone. Tyrell Robinson made the last TD of the game. The Patriots remained scoreless in the 2ndhalf.
