Valentine Party At Wellstar Paulding Nursing Home
On Valentine's Day, the residents of Well-star Paulding Nursing Home were treated to a Valentine Party sponsored by the Paulding Retired Educators Association. The Valentine Party has been an outreach of the Paulding Retired Educators for many years and it has always been a huge success. In addition to desserts and punch, all the residents received valentine cards from the PREA. The food and fun were greatly appreciated by the residents; but they were also treated to a performance by the band, "The Sounds of Lost Mountain." This is a bluegrass, gospel band that has performed for the residents of the nursing home for several years. The several members of the group play instruments, guitar, mandolin, banjo, plus other bluegrass instruments, singing beautiful old and new gospel renditions. Paulding Retired Educators members helping serve food and pass out valentines were: Barbara Cohran, Dinah Hardeman, Patsy Dorrough, Gail Lawrence, Sherry Shaffer, Bea McClung, and friends Louise Waters and Angel Waters.
