The WellStar Foundation raised more than $800,000 during the first private event at The Coca-Cola Roxy Theatre in the Battery Atlanta adjacent to SunTrust Park.

The South Paulding Lady Spartans fell in the first round of the State playoffs to the Lady Cougars from Chattahoochie High School from John's Creek. The Spartans hosted the Cougars but the matches all went to the visitors and they advanced 3-0.

The Spartan Varsity baseball team will host the first round of playoffs Friday, April 28, 2017. The Spartans ended their regular season in second place for Region 6-AAAAAA.
