The National Association for Female Executives (NAFE) has named WellStar Health System one of the Top 10 Nonprofit Companies for Executive Women for 2017.

March 19-25 marks a week of awareness for the National Safe Place Network, a youth outreach and prevention program for young people in need of immediate help and safety. As one of five Safe Place affiliated organizations in Georgia, Advocates for Children oversees the efforts more than 90 Safe Place locations in Northwest Georgia.

Principal Wilcox recognized many members of the club as he himself is a long-standing member of the community and an educator of 22 years. Two years ago he became principal of the Paulding in high school. As our County has grown it now currently has five high schools, Paulding County high school being the original high school.

The General Assembly completed Crossover Day (Day 28) around 10:30 pm on Friday, March 3 and today, Friday, March 10 marked legislative day 31. The legislature was in session on Monday, Thursday and Friday of this week. They spent Tuesday and Wednesday holding committee hearings on bills that crossed over.

Economic Development Organization Executive Director Robert Reynolds did not initially accept the nod earlier this month from the IBA board to take over as Interim Director.

Every year the Rotary Club of Paulding County organizes an Invitational Christmas Parade for an for the city of Dallas. All proceeds are donated to Paulding Christmas, a local organization dedicated to providing for families and children.

Monday, February 27 th , we returned to Capitol Hill for week eight of the legislative session, which ended Friday with Crossover Day. Any legislation that did not pass out of its respective chamber by Friday’s deadline, will not have time to make it through the process and therefore will not be reconsidered until next session. We passed numerous bills this week in hopes that we can continue positive reform efforts and progress in Georgia.
